Only Look What I Have

Painter Meilien Huang, whom lots of people honor in Taiwan, had never give up herself to face her life.

Her cerebral palsy had affected her equilibrium since childhood, had also caused her to lack speech. However, she had not disappointed for her external pain. Finally she had earned her doctorate in art. Until now, she still use the paint brush to draw her vital life.

The following is a lecture about her...

A student asked in a low voice, “Dr. Hoang, how you face yourself and your life? Have you ever blame everyone and everything? ”

Meilien Huang had written down the following words on the blackboard with chalk...

I am quite lovable!
My leg is very long and beautiful!
Father and mother such love me!
God such loves me!
I can paint and write !
I have a cute cat!
There are so many people to care about me!
Every day I can smell the air and enjoy the scenery!
Furthermore,...

Suddenly, I felt complete silence, nobody seemed to speech. She turned her head to look at everybody, and then turned her head to face the blackboard again. Finally she had written down her conclusion on the blackboard,“I only look what I have, but not look I do not have.” Students applauded her and she was still smiling broadly.
